Ambassador Ke'Reth's
Rough Guide to Klingons
Greetings
and salutations, my name is Ambassador Ke’reth, son of Ton’Arg, and
Ambassador to the Federation outpost known as Starbase 410. Beside me is my
Friend Taj, his name means Dagger. He’s a Melk’tag or Kronos Wolf, the
symbol of my Clan, the Clan Makura.
Below is a picture of my
Homeworld, its name is Qo’noS, but most Humans pronounce it Kronos. Kronos has a single
large landmass, but many smaller islands in a massive global ocean. The
planet Kronos is ruled from our planetary Capital, known as the First City,
by our High Council, they rule from the building seen here. Kronos is has a
variable Climate, consisting of hot dry deserts to forests and Tundra,
leading to freezing land-locked polar icecaps. The planets surface is
approximately 85 percent land to 15 percent water. The Homeworld, as many
Klingons call it, orbits around a pair of Orange binary stars.
The Planet Kronos has a thriving population of around 3.84 Billion, and is the
seat of power for more than 500 worlds that make up the Klingon Empire.
Klingons are a proud warrior race that follows the teachings of the
legendary Kahless the Unforgettable, who unified the Klingon people around
fifteen hundred years ago. The Image here shows Kahless.
The Klingon People
As I’ve said before, Klingons are a warrior
race, a people living under a pretty rigid military system. It’s often said,
that Klingons are predisposed to being aggressive, Klingons do not
necessarily consider this to be a bad thing. ‘We are a proud people, and we
intend to go on being a proud people’ is an often-heard saying, among
Klingons.
Outsiders often see Klingons wearing armour, and military
uniforms, even Klingon civilian attire appears to many, to be made for
physical protection during combat.
