Star Trek – Original Series Movies After The Success of the Science Fiction film Star Wars In 1977 Paramount Pictures commissioned the first Star Trek Movie, The Motion Picture, which reunites the major cast members of the Original TV Series.

Star Trek – The Next Generation Movies  After the Success of the earlier Original Series of Star Trek films; four films to date have been made with the Next Generation Cast. The First of these films has members of the Original series cast, and that of the Next Generation.

The next Star Trek movie (XI) is to be set before TOS and will be released on 8th May 2009.
